6/23/10 Sonia Tabriz Graduates from American University
BleakHouse Managing Editor, Sonia Tabriz, graduates summa cum laude and with University Honors from American University with a B.A. in Law & Society and a B.A. in Psychology. Tabriz will be attending The George Washington University Law School in the fall, where she was awarded a merit scholarship.

5/3/10 BleakHouse Artistic Director Liz Calka Wins 4 Awards at AU SOC Visions Festival 2010
Calka won the Best in New Media (sponsored by Interface Media Group) and Outstanding Website awards for her portfolio website, lizcalka.com, at the American University School of Communication Visions Festival 2010. She also won the ASMP Award for Excellence and Outstanding Photojournalism/Documentary Series for her documentary photo series, "Britishink."
